I can also advise members that we have set Thu 26th November 2020 as the date for our AGM.
We are now in the final week of the "Walkwithus", Annual End Polio Walk and between Ted's team and our own club team, we have so far raised over $3,500.00. The District Chairperson for the event, Kitty has confirmed that she will be making sure that RI in Parramatta will be credited the full amount to our club.
We are now getting right into the pointy end of the MUNA organizing. The event is due for the weekend of 5th and 6th Dec and we need to have teams finalized about 4 weeks before that. This has been a productive week and right now we look like we have about 17 teams so in a couple more weeks we might get up to 20 teams which will be a very good number. It looks like including a team from New Zealand and India as well.
I am meeting with Susan Robb and Rosemary Kinyua just before tomorrow's meeting.
A couple of months ago we had a speaker from Foodplant Solutions. Just this evening I received an email from their Executive Officer, Karolyn Hingston advising us of a very interesting show that was recently shown on ABC's Landline. She thought we might be interested in seeing it as it explains the background to their work, Bruce French’s incredible commitment to ridding the world of hunger and the impact they are having. I have had a quick look and it really is amazing work.

With the US elections next week I thought the quotes should be from past Presidents.
"I have left orders to be awakened at any time in case of national emergency -- even if I'm in a Cabinet meeting." Ronald Reagan
"Being president is like being a jackass in a hailstorm. There's nothing to do but to stand there and take it." Lyndon Johnson
"Being president is like running a cemetery: you've got a lot of people under you and nobody's listening." Bill Clinton
