Speaker - Des Tobin

Writer - Speaker - Storyteller

Title of the Talk - More Lives than your average Cat.

Des Tobin has crammed more lives into his 80 years than your average cat.  He has variously been a failed student, a discontented panel beater apprentice, a youth worker, a springboard diver, a junior pole-vaulter, a VFL and Olympic Australian Rules footballer, a business executive in the funeral industry, a golfing tragic, a university lecturer and a prolific writer.

Des's signature guest speaker talk - More Lives than your average Cat - is filled with interesting stories, spiked with amusing anecdotes and carries positive and optimistic messages

Moomba 2019 Barbeque

Date: Monday Mar 11, 2019, 10:00 am

Our club has again committed to provide a BBQ to feed the 1100 participants in this year’s Moomba Parade.

It is on Monday 11th March 2019 at Melbourne Grammar with entry off Domain Rd.

We will need about 24 volunteers on the day with about 8 needed from 9.00am, another 8 from 11.00am and another 8 from 12 noon.

We finish serving by 2.30pm and after cleaning up we are usually out of there by about 4.30pm.

It is great experience to be involved in the Moomba Parade at such close quarters so please email our Secretary Neville Page on page@ghp.biz if you can help
